WAR — RUDY HARTT. LOVE and a porcelain companion carry a glowing window through a blue and terracotta collage mural, with illustrated characters repairing a seam, carrying a home and protecting a sprout.

WAR explores the human cost of conflict through surreal characters, fractured worlds and small acts of care. Rudy Hartt’s exhibition follows displaced companions and the fragments of home they carry, asking what can be protected, repaired and shared when the familiar disappears.

Friends Stitch the Broken Sun

Six small companions find their way through a fractured paper world. Nib, Mote, Loop, Knot, Slip and Tack follow ribbons of living light through midnight gardens, folded floods and magenta skies—a collection about tenderness, curiosity and finding connection in the fragments.

A Softer Kind of Physics

Four curious beings discover what happens when geometry grows a personality. Torus Walker leads a sun on a string, Ponto balances on bubbles, Pipette gathers liquid colour and Prismlet turns falling darkness into bright cubes. Glass, soft curves and impossible movement make a small world governed by curiosity.

Small Rebellions

Eight impossible encounters interrupt the machinery of an ordinary city. Receipts take flight, alarms become lullabies and a single touch draws flowers through concrete. Across rain-soaked streets and crowded rooftops, strange neighbours turn pressure, waiting and loneliness into small acts of care.

The Weight of Tenderness

Across twelve scenes, towering figures assembled from worn metal, timber and cloth practice small acts of care. A cup is offered, a place is made at a table, a coat becomes a home. Their scale is immense; their gestures are patient. Rust, cracked surfaces and loose threads carry the memory of use, while flowers, toys and warm light suggest that even damaged things can shelter a future.

What the Light Can Hold

A body becomes a vessel for colour, air and light. Blue hair pours into lavender folds; a foot leaves a luminous pool; a face persists as its edges soften. These eight sculptural studies follow the body between solid form and liquid suggestion. Suspended bubbles and shifting translucency hold each gesture in a delicate pause, as though the surface might remember it after the shape begins to move.
